Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional (taxable)
Purchase of CDW reduces the customer’s financial responsibility for damage to or loss of the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident, fire or theft.
Customer is liable for $2,000.00 if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken. If CDW is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to $500.00, for all car groups. 

Renter is responsible for traffic violations and repair of flat or damaged tires. Also, fire or theft which occurs due to customer’s negligence (not locking vehicle, securing keys, leaving lighted cigarettes in the car, etc.) is not covered. 
NWE Exception: If CDW is purchased and the vehicle is involved in an accident, but the police report reveals the renter is not at fault, the renter is still liable until the party at fault pays the Non-Waivable Excess.

Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover, Mastercard, Optima, Visa.

Charge card hold: 
The charge card hold is the estimated rental charges plus: 
• If CDW is accepted: 500.00 USD 
• If CDW is declined: 2,000.00 USD

Debit cards are not accepted.

Valid driver's license from country of residence is required.  International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet.  International driving license is a translation only.  License must have been held for at least three consecutive years immediately prior to rental pick-up date.  All non-resident drivers must also obtain local driving license at beginning of rental from the rental counter..  Cost is approximately 21.00 USD (price subject to change).

A valid driver’s license from the country of residence is required and must be held for at least 3 consecutive years. A local driver’s permit is required with a charge of approximately 21.00 USD. The permit is arranged by Avis. The local permit is valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet. Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

At this location, the minimum age to rent is 25 years for all car groups.  The maximum age to rent is 65 years for all car groups.
