Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customers Award | Avis Car Rental

Avis Australia is thrilled to receive the ‘Most Satisfied Customers’ award for car rental providers at the Canstar Blue Awards 2021 for the second consecutive year.

Avis Australia received five-star ratings across key categories including customer service, transparency of cost and fees, quality of vehicle and availability of vehicle type, and is the only brand to receive full marks for overall customer satisfaction.

The annual rating by Canstar Blue, a consumer review and comparison website, ranks the nation’s car rental companies based on how content customers are with the hire car providers. This year’s ranking was compiled based on survey responses and reviews from more than 3,000 Australians.

The award follows the brand’s ongoing investment in market-leading products and services that deliver a premium experience to customers including:

  • Digital check-in allows customers to enter their information ahead of arriving at the rental location, reducing unnecessary contact with rental staff and other customers in the process and reducing wait times.
  • PhotoProofed is market-leading technology that captures images of the vehicle’s existing condition before it is given to the customer, meaning that customers can review ahead of time and add any images they feel have been missed.
  • Risk Free Bookings offers increased booking flexibility by allowing customers to change or cancel reservations, without fees, and with refunds paid directly to their bank account for rentals due to start before 28 February 2022.

Canstar Blue's survey on car hire services revealed that customer service was the most important driver of overall customer satisfaction (25%), followed by transparency of costs (24%), value for money (20%), vehicle availability (16%) and quality of vehicle (15%). The survey also revealed that 35% of respondents would recommend their hire car provider to a friend.
