Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Purchase of CDW relieves the customer of all financial responsibility due to damage to or loss of the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident or theft. This includes missing parts or accessories. If declined, the customer will be resonsible for the full value of the vehicle. Full value would include if the car is stolen or deemed a total loss; Full value of any missing parts or accessories, if stolen or damaged; Full value of repairs plus up to 12 days rental charges (to cover loss of revenue during repairs) if damaged.
Theft Protection (TP) is included in the purchase of CDW/LDW
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.
Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
Credit Card Policies
Avis Turks and Caicos accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa when issued in the renters name. At the time of rental, we will request an authorization on your charge card as a hold until your rental is returned. The minimum required amount will be 500.00 USD. Please contact locally for further details.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are accepted, however it will be mandatory to accept CDW and ALI.
Drivers License
At the time of rentals, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name from their country of residence. Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-Roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) to serve as a translation in addition to their valid drivers license..
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Age Requirements
The minimum age is 25 with Avis, Avis-honored charge cards or travel vouchers. There is no maximum age.
