Cash rentals are not allowed.  Cash is only accepted as payment at time of vehicle return.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is Optional
Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount ranging between 18,000.00 EUR and 20,000.00 EUR if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken.  Purchase of CDW reduces liability to an amount of 500.00 EUR in the event of an accident to the Avis vehicle.

Theft Protection (TP) is Optional
Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount ranging between 18,000.00 EUR and 20,000.00 EUR if Theft Protection (TP) is not taken.  Purchase of TP reduces liability to an amount of 500.00 EUR for theft of parts or all of the Avis vehicle.

Note: If CDW and/or is not purchased a deposit will be required up to the full value of the car.
If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis Georgia accepts Avis Charge Cards, MasterCard / Access / Eurocard, Visa.

Debit cards are not accepted.

A  valid driving license from the renter's country of residence must be presented in person at the time of rental. This license must have been held for at least three years immediately prior to the rental pick-up date.

International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet. 

For all groups: renter or driver must held licence for at least one year. International licence required for licences in non-roman alphabet.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

I want to keep the vehicle for longer, what should I do?
If you want to extend the rental please contact us as soon as possible. At the latest, this should be before the end date and time on your rental agreement. Extra days will be charged at pay at location prices.

What happens if I do not extend the rental?
If you fail to extend your rental and are late returning the vehicle, we will charge you for an extra days rental plus a late return administration fee for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned.

If you fail to extend your rental and are late returning the vehicle, we will on the third day after your agreed return date pre-authorise payment for an additional 5 days rental charge on your debit card or, 10 days if you are using a credit card, at pay at location prices. If you return the vehicle within those 5 or 10 days (whichever applies), you will only be charged for your actual rental days, plus any other charges you owe us.
If you fail to return your vehicle as agreed, we will also charge you a late return administration fee for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned.
The late return administration fee is EUR 18.30 per day (VAT included).

What countries am I allowed to take the vehicle to?
You are only allowed to use the vehicle in the following countries:

• Czech Republic (luxury vehicles H and L categories excluded)
• Belgium
• Crozia (luxury vehicles H and L categories excluded)
• Denmark
• France
• Germany
• Luxembourg
• Norway
• Holland
• Portugal
• UK
• Slovenia (luxury vehicles H and L categories excluded)
• Spain
• Sweden
• Switzerland

For the Czech Republic, Croatia and Slovenia the transit of vehicles through the ports is not allowed.

Can I buy a product to allow me to drive in other countries?
No, regrettably, we do not offer any products which enable you to drive in other countries.

Full Credit Voucher and Fixed Value Vouchers are accepted and require the renter to also present an Avis-honored charge card as a guarantee.
