Credit Card Policies
Avis Dominican Republic accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover Card, Mastercard, Visa. An additional charge card hold will apply. The location will take 200.0 USD minimum as estimated rental charges as a Guarantee or Hold, depending on the type of vehicle and days rented. If the customer declines LDW, we hold an additional 800 USD for economy through compact size SUV or an additional 1,500 USD for all other car groups. Note: Credit Cards without raised numbers are not accepted in the Dominican Republic without purchasing LDW - Loss Damage Waiver. See LDW coverage information for more details.

Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Travel Into Other Countries
What countries am I allowed to take the vehicle to?
You are covered by third party liability insurance only when you use the vehicle in the country listed on the insurance green card.
Your additional coverages only apply when you use the vehicle in the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Metropolitan France, Monaco, Northern Ireland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain (continental), Sweden, Switzerland (exception for vans), United Kingdom.
Can I buy a product to allow me to drive in other countries?
No, regrettably, we do not offer any products which enable you to drive in other countries.
Age Requirements
At this location the minimum age is 25 for all car groups. Maximum age is 70 for all car groups. Underage fee will apply for drivers 21-24 years of age. Cost: 5.00 USD per day, taxable.
NOTE: The minimum age for car groups G, L, H, X, M, E, N and K is 25 for all renters, even with a travel voucher.
