Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is Optional, except for renters under 25 years of age CDW is Mandatory
Customer is liable for the full value of the Avis Vehicle if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken.  Purchase of CDW reduces liability to zero in the event of an accident or theft of the Avis vehicle. Theft which occurs due to customers negligence (not locking vehicle or securing keys) is not covered.

Theft Protection (TP) is included in the CDW

Note:  If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess.  Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.

Avis Grand Cayman accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa.  An additional charge card hold will apply.  The hold will be the estimated cost of rental, plus 20 percent.  If CDW is declined, a hold of 1,500.00 USD will apply.  Note: Renters is under 25 and/or who decline CDW will be required to sign a blank charge card slip so that damages to cover additional liability amounts.

Debit cards are not accepted.

Valid driver's license from country of residence is required.  International driving license is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet.  International driving license is a translation only.  Drivers without an International Driving License, must obtain a local driving license at the time of vehicle pick-up by driver.  Approximate cost = 20.00 USD.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Car key fobs are NOT waterproof.  Customers will be considered fully responsible for replacement.

Approximate total includes base rate, taxes, and surcharges. Items such as coupon discounts, child safety seats, temporary drivers permit and gas are NOT included in the estimated total. Optional coverages and one-way fees are subject to tax in certain locations. This tax is not reflected in the Estimated Total.
