Optional Coverages
Collision Damage Waiver(CDW)
Purchase of CDW is optional and reduces the renters financial responsibility (NWE) in case of damage to the Avis vehicle from accidents and theft. The amount varies depending on car group rented in the amount of 500.00 USD, not to exceed 1,500.00. If declined, the customer is responsible for the full value of the Avis vehicle.
Theft Protection (TP) - TP is included in CDW.
Other coverages may be available at the counter, check upon arrival for availability and information.
Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
Credit Card Policies
Avis accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diner's Club, Eurocard, Mastercard, Visa. An additional charge card hold will apply. The hold will be the estimated cost of rental, plus an additional 40 percent if CDW is declined.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are not accepted.
Drivers License
A valid driver's license from country of residence is required. License must have been held for at least one year immediately prior to rental pick-up date. International driving permit (IDP) is required only for countries with non-Roman alphabet to serve as a translation.
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Age Requirements
At this location the minimum age to rent is 23 years for all car groups.
At the time of rental, we will automatically apply a 5.00 USD per day young driver fee for renters ages 23-24 years.
