Finding joy in Margaret River by Nick and Bat.

@coopsfrootloops

110 km/h. The sign that it’s time to shift into cruise control. A mental gear change that comes just as you hit the open road in the latest model car from Avis. And it didn’t take long for our new mindset to pay dividends.

We turned off for our first detour at Black Diamond Lake, where the water just happens to be strikingly blue. We worked up an appetite wandering along the shoreline, so our next stop was Shelter Cafe to refuel, before finishing the drive to Pullman Bunker Bay Resort.

The next morning we explored the coastline, stumbling across Meelup Beach. Honestly, I’ve never seen water so crystal clear. Next up we checked out Sugarloaf Rock, before making our way to Boranup Forest, home of the original skyscrapers.

Before we knew it, it was time to head home, but we left with the promise we’d be back soon. There’s just so much more to explore.
