Finding joy in Cradle Mountain by Graham and Stacey.

There’s something in the air down in Tasmania. It’s like the second you step out of the airport you feel reinvigorated, ready to explore everything the island has to offer, in the perfect Avis car of course.

First up, we set our sights on Cradle Mountain. It turns out La Mar Café was firmly on our minds. So we stopped for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Refuelled and ready to go, we tackled the rest of the drive, arriving at the amazing Cradle Mountain Hotel in good time. 

The next morning we woke up bright and early. Because you can’t visit Cradle Mountain and not see the sunrise, right? Words just don’t do it justice. We followed it up with some brekky at our accomodation, then started our return journey to the airport.

Along the way, we stumbled across Delish Fine Foods in Burnie. They weren’t lying, it was delicious. And we made another unscheduled stop in Penguin for, you guessed it, penguins.

My advice, if you haven’t already ticked Tasmania off your bucket list, do it. Because you’re guaranteed to find joy wherever you go.
