The BMW X5 is a highly respected SUV vehicle with outstanding features and controls. As part of our Signature Series, the X5 combines a luxury feature set with 5 seats, 5 doors, and automatic transmission. This vehicle also features air-conditioning, a reversing camera, an auto-closing tailgate, and a stylish leather interior. As a full size SUV, there is enough room in the X5 for 2 large and 2 small items of luggage. The BMW X5 has an impressive presence on the road, but it retains a streamlined body for easy parking and urban driving.

Buying a luxury European car is not always viable, with Avis offering an affordable alternative. Whether you're attending a wedding, trying to impress a client, or just trying to live your best life, Avis makes luxury accessible. The precise cost of BMW car rental depends on the vehicle selected and rental period, along with pick-up and drop-off locations and add-ons.

The Driver must (i) hold a full, current and valid driving licence (not being a learners licence or provisional licence), (ii) have an International Driving Permit (IDP) or official translation (if a licence is not in Roman alphabet), (iii) have held their licence for minimum 12 consecutive months immediately prior to signing the Rental Agreement.

An International Driving Permit is not a stand-alone document and this must be carried with your valid domestic driving licence for it to be valid.

Digital drivers licences are only accepted in the issuing state. If you're travelling interstate you must present a physical (plastic) drivers licence.

The minimum age to drive a vehicle with Avis is 21 years of age. All drivers must hold a current, full and valid driver's licence, that has been valid for a minimum of 12 consecutive months. A young driver surcharge may apply.

According to our terms and conditions, BMW X5 luxury car rental is not available for interstate travel.

If you want to hire a BMW X5 from Avis, certain documentation is required. All drivers must hold a valid full driver's licence, which does not include a learner's or provisional licence. In addition, all drivers need to be older than 25, and a $200 pre-authorisation deposit is required using a credit card. Unfortunately, debit cards are not accepted.

When you return your rental bus to Avis, you must do so with a full tank of fuel. We also ask that you remove all your personal belongings from the vehicle. Finally, please return the 20-25 seater bus to us in a clean state, ready for the next customer to drive.

The BMW X5 SUV is part of our Signature Series. This exclusive collection is only available from certain Avis locations, including many capital city branches and select regional centres. Due to this restriction, drivers are advised to pick up and drop off their car from the same location.

There are select Avis locations that allow returns outside of business hours. Please contact the return location directly or contact the Avis Reservations team to check if this is possible on 136 333.
